Cookie Policy
How CodingCush uses cookies: essential, Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies, and how to control them.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your phone, tablet or computer when you visit. They help the website remember things — like keeping you signed in — and, with your permission, help us understand how the site is used and show ads that keep our tutorials free.
1. Essential cookies — always on
These are needed for the website to work and to stay secure. They run without asking, because switching them off would break logins and forms.
- Session cookie (PHPSESSID) — set by CodingCush. Keeps you signed in to your account and keeps our forms safe from misuse. It is removed after 2 hours of inactivity.
- reCAPTCHA cookies — set by Google. Our subscribe, contact and comment forms use reCAPTCHA to tell humans apart from spam bots.
Your cookie choice itself, your light/dark theme and an "already subscribed" flag are stored in your browser's local storage — on your device only, not in cookies sent to us.
2. Analytics cookies — only with your consent
Google Analytics helps us see which tutorials people read, so we can write more of what helps you. If you reject analytics cookies, we receive no Analytics data about your visit.
- _ga — Google Analytics. Tells different visitors apart so visits can be counted. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_KQ5RWVVBZY — Google Analytics for this website. Keeps the state of a visit. Expires after 2 years.
3. Advertising cookies — only with your consent
CodingCush is free because of Google AdSense ads. Advertising cookies measure how ads perform and, if you allow them, personalise which ads you see.
- _gcl_au — Google AdSense. Measures ad performance and conversions. Expires after 3 months.
- Google partner cookies — when an ad is shown, Google and its advertising partners may set cookies (for example on the doubleclick.net domain) to serve, limit and personalise ads. Google explains these on its cookies page.
Your choices
You are in control. Use the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page to accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies — you can change your mind at any time, and your new choice applies from that moment. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential features like signing in may then stop working.
To opt out of personalised advertising across the web, you can also visit Google's Ad Settings.
Changes and contact
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this page and refresh the date at the top. Questions about cookies or privacy? Email us at codingcush@gmail.com. See also our Privacy Policy.
