Text to QR Code Generator
Turn any text, website link, Wi-Fi password, email or phone number into a QR code image — then style it your way. Change the colours and dot shapes, add your own logo in the centre, and download a crisp PNG, JPEG or SVG. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded to a server.

How to use this QR code generator
Type or paste your text or link in the box above and your QR code appears instantly — it updates live as you type. Pick a content type at the top if you want more than plain text: the Wi-Fi type builds a code that connects a phone to your network the moment it is scanned, and the Email, Phone and SMS types open the right app with the details already filled in.
Make it yours in the Design section: change the QR colour and background, pick rounded or dotted modules, and drop your logo into the centre. If you add a logo, set error correction to Q or H — that keeps the code readable even though the middle is covered. Download at up to 1024 pixels as a PNG for everyday use, or grab the SVG if you need it sharp at any size for print.
Everything happens on your device — the text, Wi-Fi passwords and logos you use are never sent to our servers. Building small browser tools like this one is a great JavaScript project; our JavaScript learning path shows you the skills behind it, step by step.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes — free forever, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many QR codes you make or download.
Do QR codes made here expire?
No. These are static QR codes: the information is encoded directly into the pattern, so the code works forever as long as the text, link or details it contains stay valid.
Why won't my QR code scan?
Usually the colours are too close together, the code is printed too small, or a large logo covers too much of the middle. Keep strong contrast between the QR colour and the background, use error correction Q or H with a logo, and test with your phone camera before printing.
Is my Wi-Fi password safe to enter here?
Yes. The code is generated entirely in your browser with JavaScript — your password is never uploaded, stored or logged. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool still works.
What is the best size for printing a QR code?
Choose 1024 px for print so it stays sharp, and print it at least 2.5 cm × 2.5 cm (about 1 inch) so phone cameras can focus on it easily. The SVG download scales to any size without losing quality.
