Age Calculator

Enter a date of birth and get the exact age — years, months and days — plus total days lived, your next birthday countdown, and the day of the week you were born. Handy for forms, admissions, jobs and exam eligibility.

How this age calculator works

Pick your date of birth and the date you want the age measured at — today is filled in for you. The result is the exact calendar age: full years, then the remaining months, then the remaining days, worked out the way official forms count it, including leap years.

The extra numbers are the fun part: total months, weeks, days and hours you have been alive, the weekday you were born on, and a countdown to your next birthday. Change the second date to any past or future date to check eligibility cut-offs — for example, "will I be 18 on the exam date?"

Your dates never leave your device — the calculation happens entirely in your browser, like all our free tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is exact age calculated?

By calendar difference: subtract the birth date from the target date, borrowing days from the previous month and months from the previous year when needed — the same method used on official documents.

Can I check my age on a future date?

Yes. Set "Age at the date of" to any date — an exam day, a joining date, a birthday — and the calculator shows the age on that day.

Does it handle leap years?

Yes. February 29 birthdays and leap-year day counts are handled by real calendar maths, not by rounding 365.25 days.

Is my date of birth private?

Completely. Nothing you enter is uploaded or stored; the whole calculation runs on your device.
